Photoshoots can be nerve wracking for several different reasons. Whether it’s the price of the session, atmosphere, photographer, scenery or maybe just the act of posing in front of somebody, sometimes a model can get self conscious and freeze up. But photoshoots shouldn’t be this way! They should be fun and relaxing, which is why ladies out there interested in getting their photos taken should attend the Party N Photoshoot event at Air Lounge Club.The event will be on Monday, June 24 at 6:30 P.M. and the club is located at 492 9th street in Oakland, CA 94607. For only $65, ladies can drink, mingle and have their photos taken in three different settings.
China Black will host the event which will be presented by her company, Glam’Dior, Inc. as well as Rick Pringle Photography. Black said the event is for women who want to express themselves artistically with their photographs. “I just want to have ladies feel beautiful,” Black said, “(I want to) give them the opportunity to take great pictures with great lighting and have something they can always remember.” According to Black, the Party N Photoshoot event is a night where women meet up, socialize and network with a drink or two and just relax before getting their photos taken.
The photography for the night will be done by Rick Pringle. Black, who has experience in modeling, said Pringle is one of her favorite photographers to work with as a model. “He has great lighting and makes sure to capture you in the way you want to be captured. You feel comfortable because he’s a real professional guy,” she said.
According to Black, the three settings for the photoshoot include “glamour,” “boudoir” and “sexy.” She explained that there will be three separate areas for each photo setting throughout Air Lounge Club. “The club is beautiful,” Black said, “It has a very nice atmosphere and it’s really a nice, smooth vibe.” Black described the owner of the club as a great person who she loved working with. “If someone wanted to go out somewhere, I would definitely recommend Air Lounge (because) they have the smoothest swag ever!” she said.
Women who want great photos of themselves or models looking to get their names and faces out there would benefit from attending this event, according to Black. “This is a great opportunity if you’re just breaking into modeling,” she said, “This would be a great way to create your portfolio.” Black says it’s rare to get a photoshoot for the price of $65 in a relaxing environment. “If you notice in some photos, people are really nervous,” Black said. She explained that in a chill environment with new friends and drinks that models can loosen up and end up with some great photos. Instead of nervously twiddling their thumbs or standing awkwardly and not knowing what to do with their hands, maybe a model will find their rhythm and place their hand on their hip and walk with a little strut. “(I remember when) I had this time and this moment where I got to meet great people,” Black said, “It was a blast!”
This networking queen said that the event is a great way to mingle and meet others, which is always a good thing. “You have to network really hard and definitely devote time that you have in motivating yourself to get out there,” she said, “Once you get a taste of it, it’s going uphill like a trickle effect.”
Black emphasized that she would like as many interested ladies to attend because she said she thinks that women need to always feel beautiful. Black said she expects there to be a really great turnout for the event because a lot of people have been interested in attending so far. “I look forward to anyone contacting me regarding the event,” Black said.
